Privacy Policy – MusicDrome

MusicDrome was developed by Datai and is provided as a free app. This page is used to inform users about our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information for anyone who decides to use our Service.

Information Collection and Use

MusicDrome may collect and use the following types of information:

Local Music Files: The app accesses your device's local music files with your permission to play and organize your personal music library. This data remains on your device and is not transmitted to external servers.

Server Credentials: When you connect to self-hosted music servers (Navidrome, Nextcloud, Airsonic, Jellyfin), your login credentials are stored securely on your device and used only to authenticate with your chosen servers.

Playback Statistics: The app may track playback statistics such as play counts, skip rates, and listening history to provide personalized features like AI mood mixes and smart playlists. This data is stored locally and optionally synced to your cloud account.

App Settings and Preferences: Your app settings, equalizer preferences, and theme choices are stored locally on your device.

Cloud Sync and Firebase

MusicDrome uses Firebase services (including Firestore) for optional cloud synchronization of your preferences, ratings, and playback statistics. When you enable cloud sync, data is encrypted during transmission and stored securely. You can disable cloud sync at any time in the app settings.

Advertisements

The app may display ads provided by third-party services (such as Google AdMob). These third parties may use cookies or similar technologies to personalize ads shown to you. You can opt out of personalized ads in your device settings.

Android Auto

When using MusicDrome with Android Auto, the app communicates with your vehicle's infotainment system to provide music browsing and playback features. No additional personal data is collected beyond what is necessary for this functionality.

Data Privacy and Storage

We do not collect, store, or share your personal music files or listening history with third parties for marketing purposes. Your music library and preferences remain under your control. Server credentials are stored securely using Android's credential storage mechanisms.

Offline Access and Downloaded Content

When you download tracks for offline playback, they are stored on your device in the app's designated storage directory. You can manage and delete downloaded content through the app's settings. Downloaded content is not shared with external servers or third parties.

Security

We value your trust in providing your information and strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect it. Server connections use secure HTTPS protocols where available. However, please remember that no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

Third-Party Services

MusicDrome integrates with various third-party services:

Self-Hosted Servers: When you connect to your own music servers, your interaction with those servers is governed by their respective privacy policies.

Lyrics Services: The app fetches lyrics from third-party services like LRCLib. These services may have their own privacy policies.

Album Art Search: When searching for album art via iTunes, the search queries are sent to Apple's servers. Apple's privacy policy applies to these interactions.

Links to Other Sites

This app may contain links to external websites or services. If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that site. Note that we are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of these external sites.
